QuitWits is a Chrome browser extension designed to interrupt mindless doom scrolling on social media. This Privacy Policy explains how the extension handles your data.
QuitWits collects the following data locally on your device:

All time-on-site data is used solely to determine when to show the interruption overlay. This data:
chrome.storage.session and cleared when your browser session endsSupabase: QuitWits fetches display messages from a Supabase database. This is a read-only request. No personal data, browsing history, or identifiable information is sent to Supabase. The only data transmitted is a request for a random set of messages.
We do not use advertising networks, analytics platforms, or data brokers.
The use of information received from Chrome browser APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Session tracking data is cleared automatically when your browser session ends. User settings persist in chrome.storage.local until you uninstall the extension or manually clear it. The message cache expires after 24 hours.
You can clear all locally stored extension data at any time by going to chrome://extensions, finding QuitWits, and clicking "Clear data". Uninstalling the extension removes all associated storage.
We may update this policy as the extension evolves. Material changes will be noted in the Chrome Web Store listing and in the extension changelog. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
