    Short version: QuitWits is a free tool to help you scroll less. Use it as intended, don't abuse it, and understand it comes with no guarantees. That's the gist.
  

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using the QuitWits Chrome extension ("the Extension"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please uninstall the Extension.

2. What QuitWits Does

QuitWits is a Chrome browser extension that monitors time spent on selected social media websites and displays an interruption overlay after a user-configurable threshold is reached. The Extension is intended as a personal productivity aid.

3. Free to Use

The Extension is currently free to install and use. We reserve the right to introduce paid features ("Pro tier") in the future. Any transition to paid features will be communicated clearly and will not remove existing free functionality without notice.

4. No Account Required

QuitWits does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information. All data is stored locally on your device.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding associated with QuitWits — including the name, logo, and extension code — are the intellectual property of the QuitWits developer(s). You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Extension without explicit written permission.

6. Limitations of Liability

QuitWits is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

That the Extension will function without interruption or errors
That it will be compatible with all Chrome versions or operating systems
That it will be effective in changing your scrolling habits

To the fullest extent permitted by law, QuitWits and its developer(s) are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use the Extension.

7. Third-Party Services

The Extension fetches display messages from a Supabase database. Use of this service is subject to Supabase's Terms of Service. QuitWits is not affiliated with Supabase, Google, or any of the social media platforms it tracks.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the Extension for redistribution
Use the Extension for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to circumvent or disable the Extension's functionality for others

9. Updates and Changes

We may update the Extension and these Terms at any time. Chrome will automatically update the Extension on your device. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using QuitWits at any time by uninstalling the Extension from Chrome. We reserve the right to discontinue the Extension or remove it from the Chrome Web Store at any time, with or without notice.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be handled in the jurisdiction where the developer is based.
